Association members to have attended sunday school 2
“When I was eight, my Sunday school class met in the medda (first floor) at Ranny Valiyapally. We sat in little red wooden chairs around our teacher, who loved kids. Somehow I came away from the class knowing an early lesson of prayer.  This lesson on prayer caused me to push ahead in life when otherwise I would surely have floundered and failed. From those classes I have learned that the source of inspiration is god and that the method of obtaining inspiration is through prayer, faith and work. Those lessons gave me a clear idea of my relationship with god and church.

I suspect I am lucky living near such an active church, but I sadly suspect there may be few and far between. I hope not. The principles, standards, values and information about our church history installed in me so long ago are now being passed onto my kids.

Please refer to para 2 of my mail “Our association members should think theologically about everything. For this they should have at least passed SUNDAY SCHOOL 5 TH CLASS”.

I DID NOT SAY that our current Association is under qualified. The decisions are already made. There is no point in blaming them. As rightly pointed out by Mr Biji “we are to be blamed for the current situation”.  I believe that there is no RIGHT DECISIONS. We need to take a decision and MAKE IT RIGHT.     To make our decisions right we need to have spiritually qualified members in the next Association. Even if the current association has taken a wrong decision, the spiritual wisdom of the members of the next association can MAKE IT RIGHT.

If we need change in Knanaya Community .It has to START WITH US. AFTER ALL WE NEED TO START SOMEWHERE.

Theology comes from the two Greek words theos, meaning God and logos, meaning words, things, matters, concerns. Theology is words or concerns about God. Thinking theologically helps you to take decisions and find answers for our problems.

Theology carries out this task in three ways.

First of all it makes you to pray when you are faced with a situation where you need to take a decision regarding the church.
Second it asks, what is the effect of your decision? What difference do they make? What effects do they have?..... On the church and its future.
Third, as theologians, we must also evaluate our beliefs and practices, asking whether they are appropriate and justified, according to various criteria and our conscience.
REGARDS,
