Dear Fellow Knananites,
Knanaya Family group was formed for the sole purpose of promoting the beautiful, dynamic and enriching way of life that is "Knanaya Life". This group aim to highlight the successes within the Knanaya Community as well as our failures. Cliché as it may sound we have to put differences aside and cooperate to better ourselves. Knanaya Family group is not affiliated to any group and I hope to represent the diversity of the
Knananites across the globe. Our culture is going through a period of pronounced transformation and change; Knanaya Family group with over 4000 members can equip our youth/next generation with strong and sustained understanding of our culture and traditions in the broader, deeper and more fundamental holistic sense.
Knanaya Community's current dilemma is that we hate change and love it at the same time. If we continue this attitude ten years from now we will be more disappointed by the things we didn't do than by the ones we did. What we really want is for things to remain the same but get better.
It is indeed vital to promote peaceful thoughts, because they serve core social functions in successful communities and cultures. We should realize the importance of implanting "conventional wisdom" scientifically in our consciousness by discussions and mails. Our messages should deliver information which helps makes confusing and complicated community rules and decisions a little easier to understand, to confront. I think people do have their opinions and have say about how they should be spiritually governed. It is just these intense discussions and their conflagration which are needed to produce valuable and lasting positive results. Groups like this can develop strong and sustained understanding on issues affecting the community. Saying yes and no clearly through platforms like this builds confidence and rids us of the misconception that we are powerless.
I welcome all mails. I remain overwhelmed by the emails of support I receive and I really appreciate your opinions and suggestions. Although every email is read, I regret that the volume of the mail generally do not permit a personal response to each one.
If you feel passionate about your beliefs and our community then please get involved in the discussions. Please know that your patience, prayers and support are appreciated.
The great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving: To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it, but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor.
